Winter Joy Bamboo
Another lovely cultivar out of bamboo expert Hans Verweig’s hat – as the name ‘Fargesia’ suggests it has a slightly cascading growth habit – not unlike a fountain – but the upright blue-green canes are of interest mostly because they reliably keep the majority of their leaves in the Winter, making this plant an excellent choice for hedging and privacy screening. As bamboo goes, this is a medium size plant.
