Magnolia Solar Flair
A late-flowering magnolia suitable for colder areas, Magnolia Solar Flair is a small, fast-growing, deciduous tree with an upright habit, forming an almost conical silhouette. The handsome, deeply veined leaves are mid-green, elliptical and 8”/20cm long. The luminous, cup-shaped flowers emerge apple-green, turning a rich, then paler yellow with a touch of pink at the base; the flowers appear on the bare branches, making a glorious spectacle in the spring garden. A beautiful specimen tree for smaller gardens, Magnolia Solar Flair requires little in the way of care; if any pruning is needed, it should be done in midsummer.
