Rose Kent
A pretty, repeat-flowering ground-cover (procumbent) rose, Rosa Kent is one of the Towne and Country series. It’s a low-growing, deciduous shrub rose with a dense, compact, spreading habit, forming a low, neat, rounded bush. The divided leaves are glossy and deep green, a lovely foil for the flowers. Almost continually from July to September, it carries profuse clusters of lightly fragrant, semi-double, creamy-white flowers with golden stamens. The flowers stand up well to wet weather, and are followed by small red hips in autumn. This is a good rose for planting on banks or at the front of a border, and is small enough to be grown in a pot in rich, soil-based compost. Ground-cover rose Kent holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
