Rose Quatre Saisons –Â Old Shrub Rose – Damask
Also known as the Autumn Damask, Rosa Quatre Saisons is the oldest of the repeat-flowering old roses. It’s a medium-sized, deciduous, old shrub rose with a spreading, bushy habit and very thorny stems. The divided leaves are greyish-green. In summer and autumn, the shrub bears masses of clear silvery-pink, loosely double flowers with golden stamens and a medium-to-strong, delicious fragrance. Rose Quatre Saisons (Four Seasons) might be optimistically named, but it’s a beautiful, very charming rose which is also pollinator-friendly.
